EDUCATIONAL MATERIAL DISTRIBUTION AT CHUKABELLS SCHOOL

EEN Foundation Delivers Educational Resources to Chukabells School, Igniting Dreams and Inspiring Hope

On March 18th, 2025, the Education and Empowerment for the Needy (EEN) Foundation reached another milestone in its mission to uplift underserved communities through education. The Foundation visited Chukabells School with a powerful message: education is a right, not a privilege, and every child deserves the tools to succeed.

Led by the Managing Director, Fr. Dr. Dominic Umo, and the Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Samuel Clement Akorokpor, alongside dedicated team members including Imaobong and Simi, the Foundation donated a wide array of educational materials to students across various age groups. From writing materials and notebooks to storybooks and mathematical sets, the outreach was designed to address critical gaps that often hinder students’ academic journeys.

Creating Access, Inspiring Achievement

In many Nigerian schools, especially in low-income areas, students often struggle with the most basic educational resources. Not having a pen or a notebook may seem like a small issue to some, but for many children, it becomes a daily barrier to effective learning and personal development. EEN Foundation recognizes this and has made it a priority to intervene where it matters most.

During the visit to Chukabells School, volunteers engaged with the students warmly, handing out educational kits and encouraging them to dream big. The smiles and cheers that erupted in classrooms were a testament to the joy and relief the materials brought.

“When you place a book in the hands of a child, you give them the key to another world,” said Fr. Dr. Dominic Umo. “We want these children to know that their dreams are valid and within reach.”

Empowering Through Encouragement

Beyond the distribution of supplies, the EEN Foundation team took time to connect personally with the students. They spoke about the value of education, shared stories of resilience, and encouraged the children to take pride in their learning.

Mr. Samuel Clement Akorokpor, the COO, addressed the pupils with heartfelt words: “You may be young and you may not have everything you need, but you have the most important thing – potential. With education, there is no limit to what you can achieve.”

Team members Imaobong and Simi also led breakout sessions, speaking to smaller groups of children and providing one-on-one motivation. They listened to the children’s aspirations, from wanting to become doctors and engineers to writers and artists, and assured them that the Foundation would continue to support their journey.

A Grateful School Community

The staff and administrators at Chukabells School welcomed the EEN Foundation with open arms, expressing gratitude for the visit. They emphasized how the donation of materials would directly impact academic performance and morale.

“This visit is a blessing,” said the headteacher. “Many of our students come from homes where buying school supplies is a luxury. What EEN Foundation has done today is remove one more barrier to their success.”

The students echoed this sentiment, with many expressing renewed enthusiasm for school. “I am so happy,” said one student. “Now I can write neatly and do my homework. Thank you for remembering us.”

Looking Forward: Sustaining the Momentum

This visit to Chukabells School is part of a larger vision by the EEN Foundation to reach as many needy schools as possible. With strategic leadership from Fr. Dr. Umo and Mr. Akorokpor, and the dedication of team members like Imaobong and Simi, the Foundation plans to expand its outreach, incorporating mentorship, literacy programs, and even digital learning tools.

“It’s not just about one visit,” Mr. Akorokpor explained. “We want to create a cycle of support, so these children grow up knowing that someone is rooting for them.”

As the EEN Foundation continues to build its legacy of compassion and empowerment, it serves as a beacon of what is possible when good intentions meet deliberate action. In giving children the tools to learn, the Foundation is not only investing in their education – it is investing in the future of the nation.

And that future is bright.
